If Love is Blind

If Love is Blind

A Poem by parker

Close my eyes, I've seen enough.
I'm shutting out this true love stuff.
If love is blind, so shall be I;
You'll turn away but I won't cry.
Hearts can break and they can mend,
I'll let go and be your friend.
Bridges built too quickly burn-
A lesson I don't need to learn.
Take your heart and keep it well,
I'll be back with tales to tell.
Friendships last through thick and thin,
Someday you'll let me back in.
