February

A Poem by parker

Yet another winter gone,
Now melting into spring.
Another new beginning
As the snow melts off the trees.
Yet frozen are the petals
Of the flower that is me,
Though should the sun
Shine on my face,
My colors could be seen.
But cold the stem
And grey the leaves
Winter uses to deceive
The yellow sun
That never once
Has thought to notice me.
