A Poem by parker

There's a little space in your arms
that feels like home.
Like the home I want eventually,
warm and safe and welcoming.
And when I think of you that warmth fills me,
but I feel an absence constantly
when your arms aren't tightly holding me,
because that's where they're supposed to be.
And it seems absurd, but honestly
the only place I want to be
is in the space in your arms
that feels like home.

There's a little place in my heart
calling you home.
To where you belong, right next to me,
my strength, my smile, my love story.
It doesn't matter how long our history
or if it makes sense to feel so strongly,
because being with you makes me so happy
that it feels like the only possibility.
It may be absurd, but honestly
since the day we met I've been feeling
that little place in my my heart
calling you home.

There's your handsome face in my mind-
you look like home.
Like all of my hopes are crystallizing
in shining blue eyes looking down on me
and sometimes it feels like it's hard to breathe
because my chest is so full of belonging.
And I don't even know what you feel for me
but I can't keep my heart from somersaulting
and I know it's absurd, but honestly
the only sight I want to see
is your handsome face and your smile
that look like home.
