My first console

My first console

A Poem by nigrum homonculus

my first console was actually a sega megadrive buuuuuuuuut i don't remember the day i got it so i wrote about the time i got the ps1. i still play it...and its still awesome.

I remember going down stairs

On a cold Thursday morning

And there it was….

A ps1 out of its boxing.

I contained my scream of excitement

My brother was fast asleep.

I woke his a*s up anyway.

This memory was ours to keep.

I remember playing tekken 2

In my PJs till the afternoon

Throwing combos left, right, and center

But Still getting beaten by my brother.

I still dust it off

Its not as good as before.

The disc tray jams when you open it

And finding the games is a chore.

But to feel like a child once again

A boy with his first toy

That will top any shooting game

Could never bring that much joy.
