Winter's Lament

Winter's Lament

A Poem by Scott H.
"

Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one who finds winter a sorrowful season, and if it's the same in other places

"

"Winter's Lament"

The snow is tumbling down as

Winter's icy touch covers the land,

The kiss of a sorrowful lover

Mourning her lost heart in

Blankets of white tears.

Is it winter like this in the Hebrides

Or is it just here,

Appearing this way only to me,

A lost soul blown about like snow,

The icy chill of the wind stinging

At the place in my heart that

Still beats warmly for you.
