Triune

Triune

A Poem by Scott H.
"

The rain and the moon and the night

"

"Triune"

My lover the rain

Embraces me with fluid arms,

Caresses my skin with

A thousand wet kisses

That mingle and mix with

The tears that run down my face,

Turning them magically from

Of sorrow to of joy.

My lover the moon

Comforts me through the long dark,

Keeps me from loneliness with

The gentlest of touchest

That illuminates my face,

Takes the shine from the stars and

Places it delicately back

Behind my now-drying eyes.

My lover the night

Enters me singularly,

Fills me with a darkness that

Consumes my insatiable longing for

The presence of another,

Shelters me in secrecy

From my other lovers' eyes

Until I need them once again.

This piece had a very sultry and soft flow...the tone was quiet and passionate, but very emotional. I'm a love of the night, of the moon and of the stars, so this piece spoke to me, as I could relate to the imagery and the "feelings". I think my favorite was the second stanza...it just spoke to me the most, though the piece in its entirety meshed very nicely. Bravo!
