The NeverwoodA Poem by Scott H.Go to the woods and see
“The Neverwood” Don’t wander near the neverwood When you are on your own – The trees they are duplicitous, The paths are overgrown. The moon can’t part the canopy, The stars won’t shine therein. Whatever passes those old trees Won’t come back out again. The oldest forest in the world, Never touched by human hands. They say that if you cross its verge You’ll go to faerieland. There’s nothing in the neverwood Except what can never be, What never was and never will Also cross its boundaries. Don’t wander near the neverwood, Keep to the road that leads to town. Should you got lost in the neverwood You never would be found. © 2009 Scott H. |
