Do you know about the North Star?

Do you know about the North Star?

A Poem by Scott H.
"

I haven't written in a while, this is my first piece in months - back to one of my favourite subjects/themes, astronomy

"

“Do you know about the North Star?”

Do you know about the North Star

Above our axis of rotation,

From its perch in Ursa Minor

See Polaris holding sway.

Do you know about the North Star

It is used for navigation,

Once it's found on the horizon

It will not lead you astray.

Do you know about the North Star

I fear it might be broken,

For every night I follow it

Yet still can't find my way.

I love this! I like to write about the stars too but clearly you are very educated in astromy. This poem was great! Love the imagery and the fact that I learned something new. :)

This is honestly one of the most beautiful things I've read in a while. Thank you for sharing.
