Greet The Morning Sun

Greet The Morning Sun

A Poem by PoemsbyPatrick

The sun has not yet touched the sky,
With the warmth of its morning ray.
Yet, the glow of your abiding love,
Urges me to start the day.

I seek out your loving touch,
With every waking dream.
I ache to hold you tightly,
And see your smile beam.

The chorus of your ecstasy,
becomes my sole desire.
As grows within my very soul,
Loves deep and burning fire.

Our bodies born but separate,
Deeply, warmly merge.
Bringing comfort, warmth and love,
To anticipation's verge.

The height of love and ecstasy,
Achieved together now.
As we hold each other completely,
In love's unending vow.

We outshine the very sun,
As we bask in after glow.
The morning has come quietly,
But with passion does it go.

I really loved this poem. The way you compared your love to that of the burning sun in the sky and as it rises so does 'The height of love and ecstasy' x

Oh it was perfect, in many ways. :-) Glad that I could capture it in a meaningful way.
I really enjoy the last stanza, but I was wondering if "The morning has come quietly, But with passion does it go" is supposed to be a question, or if I am simply not reading it correctly? It was a beautiful poem though, thank you for sharing it.
