Caring

My love for you is strong and true,

My first impulse is to care for you.

You are used to finding your own way,

But I would seek to care for you each day.

I do not seek to subjugate your will,

Only to care such that your heart to fill,

With love and joy so offered,

To show you my love proffered.

With kindest heart I do not intend,

That you are not able yourself to fend.

So, care for you is not quite right,

As I respect your strength and fight.

My love for you is strong and true,

A caring person I must be for you.

Equals in so many ways,

Being caring for each other each and every day.

Such a balanced and heartfelt declaration of love. This is what love should be like. I especially liked this stanza,
