Let Love Free~

Let Love Free~

A Poem by poet2angels (lynda)

Gently

let love free
to flutter in breezes

one day, returning
as a whisper,

a kiss of twilight wind,

a twirl of her tresses,
a trace of her lips,

or a distant memory

seeping
through her pillow.

It shows how much attention I have been paying to my surroundings of late, so caught up in my own little mess. I found myself writing something along the lines of setting it free, dealing with more corporeal and dogmatic needs - almost as if I was treating love as a car that you need to get the tires rotated on or the oil changed. I guess when it comes to things, I am just too much of a thinker.

This piece though, in the ethereal softness of the surreal imagery it presents - offers a lingering hint of the reality of love that so many of us are oblivious to as we get caught up in that daily grind. It is not about setting it free, it is about letting it free. Setting it free is along the lines of casting it off, while letting it free is letting it free... to be. It is an awesome way to state it by comparison... a terrific write.

Expressed so eloquently, soft and gentle. What depth in such few words:

"Gently

let love free
to flutter in breezes

one day, returning
as a whisper," ~ This is stunning. Nice job.

How is it that you write poetry like this? So amazing... I can see pictures in my mind and my own interpretations. I won't share them here and create a picture for your readers... it would so spoil the effect.

Absolutelyly lovely! ;)
