Traveling on Astral Dreams

Twilight’s hues of violet fade
As night closes in, shadows dance
Softly swaying across the floor
Mind knowing exactly what’s in store

A dimly lit quiet space
Amber lamp casting a glow
Two veiled figures embrace tight
Every Eve they return, unite

Locked in this ardent cycle
Leaving reality in the past
Reconnecting upon moonbeams
Creating a fantasy in dreams

Lurking within the darkness
He comes to her in the night
Reaching across time and space
Their fingers gently interlace

A bond that can’t be broken
Connecting two lives forever
Universal strings braided
On the astral plane, love not faded

He creeps in almost nightly
So he can sleep beside her
Feeling her heartbeat increase
In his arms there is complete peace

Some people may be "put off" by such "new age" labels as "astral projection" . . . I prefer to NOT label these flights of fancy & just let them stand on their own magical essence. I know exactly what you're saying in this poem, altho I would guess that most people live too hectic or noisy lives, such that they aren't in the habit of being open to such magic carpet rides. I have a friend on the east coast, whereas I'm on the west, but we are so "in synch" about so much, & I do feel "in his presence" at times, so strongly, it has to be a connection in a realm we mere humans have not measured or chalked up for scientific whatever! *wink! wink!* Fondly, Margie

Look it up. All I can say is I don’t purposely do astral projection but many of my dreams feel like this. I have strange odd dreams of places I have not been but the description in my dreams are spot on to the place. I have had dreams of things that have happened, ones I didn’t know about, and find out they had. And sometimes I have dreams of things that are going to happen and then they do later on.

interesting .. i love dreams! ;) and dreaming .. what catches my attention in this one is that throughout they are lovers .. sharing intimacy and connection beyond the material world .. but he is "lurking" ... and "creeps" ... puts a very different twist into the scene, for me... perhaps the lady loves a "bad boy" :)

Back story him and I got into an argument about six months ago and I actually took a along silent spell with him but the night we had the argument I started dream of I thought in mine my mind in the dream oh hell no and in my dream I pushed him and told him not today mother f****r. Well for a couple of weeks in my dreams he lurked staying in the shadows or in a corner watching me do whatever I was doing in my dream. See astral projection in dreams.

oooooo that is creepy ... i think our dreams are important .. but i don't think we need to "figure" them out per se ... i think repetitive themes can give us a wee hint maybe .. but what we do in the real world is what counts and isn't in the realm of those dreams .. eh!? it's the real world that produces them i think .. not the other way around ..yes .. astral projection ... this is an interesting case study i found https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fnhum.2014.00070/full and there is a lot of testimony from near death experience people who "floated" above their bodies and could see and remembered everything and everyone in the room ... we do have a soul says i! ;)

I have odd dreams. One where I dream of places I’ve never been but the description from the dream will be spot on. I’ve also had dream about something that’s happen, not knowing at the time, and it had really happened, or one where I dream something happened and it does. They are odd and strange no explanation for them but I’ve learned to accept them.
