Spring Rain

The melodic sound of rain
Softly pelting the earth below
Soothing the chaotic soul
An anxious thought vanished

A tranquil sound vibrating
Nourishing trees and plants alike
A transformation glistening
Liquid peace covering the grass

Cool misty droplets are formed
Floating down from the gray clouds
As the night slowly settles in
Shifting the daylight murky sky

So petite in size and shape
Yet so essential to the world
Without it life would perish
Nothing left but dry parched land

all true. i love the rain and anything to do with nature. this is a terrific description of rain along with everything it gives and asks nothing in return. is interesting how when we get too much of it or not enough of it, it causes everything and everyone to get out of whack. terrific write ... :)

A beautiful way of describing a spring rain. I love rainy days and nights. There is indeed a peaceful feeling that seems to slow the world down. Letting people take a break. Leaves bouncing, puddles and tiny brooks forming in driveways...love it all.

Love the rain
I used to sit on my verandah in my very old house fibro weatherboard with big wooden slats on verandah I’d sit there in rain with dog n pot plants wine in hand or tea and music or not was paradise

Lovely stanzas here. What a difference a few droplets of rain can make to parched thirsty earth. I know you have an affinity with deserts, so there even more so. A few precious drops and the barren boredom can spring into a bursting flourish of greenery.

I do have an affinity for the desert but I live in the Midwest and love the sound of rain and watching it. It is so vial and essential and yet many don’t think about it on the deep scale
