In the distant horizon

Lies an unknown

Adventure

Shrouded by clouds

Of never ending gray

That swirl with energy

The start of a new day

 

New directions

Hidden behind

A mask of white

Climbing skyward

Imagination takes

Flight

 

Pool of liquid

Steel

Shine inky

And black

Impenetrable darkness

Hides troubles

That maybe

Ahead

 

Sail upon

The avenue

Of no turning back

Glide on onyx

Waters

Of satiny black

 

Feel the wind

In your face

As the wind

Fills those sails

With hopes

And dreams

That are worth

The fight

The short lines concentrate the mind and highlight each word... 'steel', 'onyx', 'satiny black'... which I like, with its smooth feel and tactile combination... A pleasing dream poem...
