Author's Note

Pete
“A single gentle rain makes the grass many shades greener. So our prospects brighten on the influx of better thoughts. We should be blessed if we lived in the present always, and took advantage of every accident that befell us, like the grass which confesses the influence of the slightest dew that falls on it; and did not spend our time in atoning for the neglect of past opportunities, which we call doing our duty. We loiter in winter while it is already spring.” - Thoreau

Rainfall refreshing and musical. I thought of that old expression make hay while the sun shines and altered it to make love while the clouds rain tears. Really liked this one Pete.

Yeah, free car wash. That does it for me :)
Excellent Pete, a little gem of brevity with an ingenious comical last line which sums up the whole piece.

I was having "one of those days" today, a pretty bleh day which led me to your One of Those Nights poem. Soft, beautiful and so simple yet perfect.

hmm. thanks so much for sharing. rain changes everything including moods ... :)
Ah those precious moments in life where something more beautiful than rain distracts us in the creation of a glorious memory. Nicely written my friend.
