Brevity lends itself less to critique but often connects less with the reader. To connect with the reader in a few well-placed words is a coveted accomplishment few poets aspire to. Like a minimalist painting of Japanese art; just a few brushstrokes and the impression endures. Well done, F.

I think these artists find their zone and just riff, feeling it deeply. Your little poem creates a spectacularly cool scene.

Love this brevity. You took me back to Ronnie Scott’s. The what used to be, in place for jazz in London. Just loved that saxophone. All the musicians wore hats. What lovely memories you have generated here Pete. My Dad and mum would take me there. They were mad for jazz.
