The pleasure we feel in music springs from the obedience which is in it. - Thoreau

Brevity lends itself less to critique but often connects less with the reader. To connect with the reader in a few well-placed words is a coveted accomplishment few poets aspire to. Like a minimalist painting of Japanese art; just a few brushstrokes and the impression endures. Well done, F.

thanks for taking the time twc. appreciated.
My daughter plays in her high school jazz band and I learned that their solos are all improvised.
I think these artists find their zone and just riff, feeling it deeply. Your little poem creates a spectacularly cool scene.

A musical masterpiece in 5: 7: 5 tempo, Pete. Your best friend's quote is 100% - but then. aren't they all! . Listened three times, once wanting to hear ever word of those lyrics; of course, couldn't miss that music, finely played too if I might say so! Put together - party time.. head nodding, feet fidgeting the tiles.. having a dance of my own happy making! More please, Pete - more of everything. The best ever starter of a feast of music, thank you.

Love this brevity. You took me back to Ronnie Scott’s. The what used to be, in place for jazz in London. Just loved that saxophone. All the musicians wore hats. What lovely memories you have generated here Pete. My Dad and mum would take me there. They were mad for jazz.
