Man of the Hour

Man of the Hour

A Chapter by Shawn Purcell
"

A really obsessive piece about a man who had someone I really wanted...

"

Is it lonely up there?

Can you deliver to your promise?

The idea that’s become you

In the vision of the one who loves you.

A step towards a new tomorrow

Behind a second guess

Wagered for it’s own sake.

Tell me how much do you think you can take?

All she has is to submit,

And beg there that she win.

But she’s kissing my lips

And now I know she needs him.

And it’s strange really,

So man of the hour turn away.

Where do you fear from?

And she turns my heart away.

Man of the hour

Staring through a looking glass.

Dark background tell your tale

About a girl dying on the inside

Who intoxicates your senses

Man of the hour walk along

Into a dark room wit the light was on,

A reminder we may not have changed

As much as we though we had.

Tell me of your rage

For the way he always treats you.

For the hypocrates around

To look upon in hate.

What’s her name?

What’s her gift?

Do you know her secrets?

Are you subject to her whims?

And that beautiful kiss.

What do you fantasize about her lips.

So tender and imaginative,

Would you go a long long way to get her.

You can’t blame me

But you may shame the idea.

For the second half of tomorrow

And that idea may destroy you.

Man of the hour

Tonight it’s all eyes on you

Tell your tale

About a beautiful lonely girl

Who invigorates your soul.

Man of the hour

She’s a lonely star in the night.

A reminder you have changed

More than you might have liked to.
