5 Countries That Give The Most Time Off

5 Countries That Give The Most Time Off

A Story by Updates

Vacation time is a precious commodity. When you are working hard to make a living, you can really get run
down. The best way to recharge is with some vacation time. But, the nature of paid vacation is pretty different
from one country to the next. If you want to maximize your vacation time, you might want to consider moving
to these countries:

Brazil

This country recently hosted the World Cup, but not without many of its people receiving some quality vacation
time. This country rings the bell with a total of 41 vacation days per year! That breaks down to a total of thirty
paid vacation days and eleven paid holidays

Brazil is famous for its February Carnival, but most who go to visit the festivities have to sacrifice some of their
precious few personal days. And even fewer of those visitors get paid while attending the party. But not true for
those who call Brazil their home.

Sweden
Perhaps you’re more interested in a Northern Europe home? Well, Sweden has got your vacation days covered
at a total of forty one days off. Now you can enjoy the richness of European culture with a job that gives you time
to take it all in. Sweden’s days break down to a total of twenty
five paid vacation days and sixteen paid holidays.

Its no secret that Scandinavia holds a reputation for being socially progressive, but even so, Sweden is ahead of
its neighbors. Swedes are privileged to more vacation days than Norway, Iceland, Finland, and Denmark. If you’ve
got your eye on the Baltic Sea area, Sweden may be the right place for you.

France
Imagine relaxing at the beach in the south of France sipping a delightful glass of fine wine and cheese. Now imagine
getting paid while doing it! That’s a dream come true for those who work in France.

The government of France mandates that every worker receive a total of thirty eight days of paid time off. That’s
thirty paid vacation days and eight paid holidays. You’ll be free to take some time to enjoy the finer things in life
in France.

Germany

Although Germany beat Brazil in the World Cup, they are no match to Brazil’s forty one paid days off. However,
the Germans are still one of the leading countries in the world when it comes to vacation time. People working in
Germany get a total of thirty four paid days of relaxation. This breaks down to twenty four paid vacation days and
ten paid holidays.

Germany is famous for both its high quality exports, as well as the country’s near-perfect infrastructure. Although
they strive for excellence in their pursuits, they recognize the value of taking time off. One can only think that that
time off may be contributing significantly for what Germany has been able to achieve.

New Zealand
Maybe you are looking for something a bit more exotic than Europe. Well, New Zealand has got you covered. They
offer their workers a total of thirty two days of paid vacation time. This include twenty paid vacation days and 11
paid holidays. In fact, New Zealand actually beats out Australia in terms of paid time off. However, Australia is not a bad
alternative at twenty eight paid vacation days. Just be careful to avoid any of the intense wildlife you’ll be sharing
your island home with.

BONUS: United States of America

In the US, the government does not mandate that workers receive any time off. This can make it quite difficult for
some individuals to get the rest and relaxation needed.

Many companies in the US offer their employees paid time off, but this is based on the good will of the company.
Paid vacation is often one of the factors employees will consider when determining where they want to work.

Unfortunately, it is very difficult for some professionals in the US to receive any time off at all. For example, dentists
running
their own firm may not have the resources to take any time off. This has led to the creation of companies
such as
http://forestirons.com/ which specialize in facilitating time off for such professionals.
