The Sonet of Shame

The Sonet of Shame

A Poem by Rebecca Dias

What is the point now?
I feel like going on, but how?
When half of your soul just dies
And it makes you cry once or twice

Shame on me, why am I like this?
Getting rid of something you are not going to miss
Instead of looking for death on the shore
Just take the love and make it more

I hate the way you don't hurt like I do
But who can save me? Who?
What is a pair of socks with just one shoe?

I end every sentence with a question mark
I can weep as easily as a dog can bark
I might kill as easily as a shark

Miss Dias, this was cute beyond belief, I felt like scolding the author for being so hard on herself!

Nooo, don't kill!! It would be hard to write good works from a jailcell, methinks. Good work! X)
