Never a Poet

Never a Poet

A Poem by matelotrod

                        Never a Poet
I will never understand why I thought I'd be a poet
I get lost in verse and subjects and my writing shows it
My aim is to make a storey in the minimum of time
My only sign of poetry is when I try to make it rhyme.

I don't khow how it takes place, it develops in my brain
Sometimes I find it easy other times it can be a strain
A subject springs upon me and it hurtles out of the blue
Then I quickly start my writing and post it from me to you.

They always cover instances that have happened in my life
Some are funny, some are sad and a few will show my strife
There are also rhymes and reasons that I use to prove a fact
I love to read the sharp  reviews showing how the folk react.

That's enough I've said my piece, if you read this thanks a lot
There are many things I like to say but I'm sure I'd lose the plot
I'll carry on in my usual way and go back to where it all began
I can't imagine why I wrote this piece it wasn't a sensible plan.
