Gems in the night sky...

Stars like pearl daisies

Bloom through the sky

Moon is a silver-gilt

Rose riding high.

 

Crystal bright petals

Now gently  unfold

In galaxy gardens

Of shimmering gold.

The rhymes are as precious as the whole they help become. And the whole of the poem is wonderful. You have painted your pictures well in this one, Marie.
And this goes well with the companion, "SUNRISE." They compliment each other splendidly. Is there also a cousin Sunset in the making?

Thank you. I find sunrises and sunsets easy to write about, but I need to find other themes. I haven't much nature in my life.

I'm sure such a night sky can only be observed in the desert. you being a city girl have this astonishing ability to paint breathtaking pictures.

I read a lot; I read descriptions. And of course, There are plenty of pictures on te Internet. I'm sure the sky over the desert would be a wonderful thing to see.

God I envy you Marie to see such skies on a nightly basis. We have so much light pollution here that we can just about make out the main constellations of The Bear, Leo, Orion (my favourite) and a few others.
You painted it beautifully here though and my minds eye became a planetarium based on this. Thank you for sharing this perfect night sky. :)
