praying on her words

praying on her words

A Poem by rosemary keogh

Rivers of tears have falling from her face.

Mountains of anger had ruined her inner peace.

Flocks of people trying to give some good advice

But no one understanding, the hurt she endured in life.

Echo’s of word’s put into her mind.

Everyone pretending to be a friend, of some kind.

Praying on her words as she expresses all her pain.

She’s so trusting, she can’t see, there like the devil to the flame.

I like the desire of this poem. A feel of warning and mystery. Hard to separate the good voices from the bad. Sometime we must listen and make our own judgments. I like the artwork and the strong ending. Thank you for a outstanding poem.

A beautifully written short piece, the girl in the image reminds me of Little Red Riding Hood, 'like the devil to the flame' is a great ending line.
