To Lie Awake at NightA Poem by A Calming StormMy first poem written by the glow of streetlights.
It is in the dark of night
When insomnia sings me awake To the music of stars And the deafening screams of silence Made all too aware to me By the spotlight of the watchful moon. As everyone I love, And everyone I do not, sleeps soundly in their beds I am reminded I am alone Thanks to insomnia's lullaby.
