Subconscious Love

Subconscious Love

A Poem by Rachael

People have said we look good together

But I'm not sure if that is true

We talk in class and in the halls

I think we are good friends

Your personality is nice, you aren't an idiot

And you are kind of cute, I must say

Yet you're not some one I would day dream about

I guess we're just stuck on friends,

During this subconscious love.

Wow, that so sweet. I can imagine you and this convo taking place although. It takes talent and imagination to put together a wonderful poem like this...I'm just downright impressed. I have also been there, and know that the love that is hidden in those same walls of the mind is impaired by the friendshipand fear of losing that very friendship inhibits love. OPM or other peoples matching tends to not take your thoughts and views into a count oh the life of a wandering mind...Wonderful write

Alright Rachael, who are these mysterious lovers that you write about in all of your poems? I really must meet them.

It's crazy, isn't it? How love and friendship are just one small feeling away from each other. I love the ending how you say how great he is through the whole poem, how you're always with each other and people say you look good together, and then you say "Yet you're not someone I would daydream about". That feeling hit me in the gut and made me feel so bad for the both of you. Realizing that you may really like something yet it just doesn't fit the way you want it to in your life is something that took me forever to get around to. Well written, dear. Short, powerful, sweet, and heartbreaking all at the same time. I hope the writers block clears up.
