Crap!

Crap!

A Poem by sarah

CRAP!
I still melt at the sound of your voice
I still yearn to see you smile

CRAP!
I still seek your approval
I still try to impress you

CRAP!
I haven't forgotten you
I haven't let you go

CRAP!
It still stings
My heart still aches

CRAP!
You still mean a lot to me
CRAP
CRAP
CRAP!

I guess you've ranted all your feelings through and through, and done it very very well. Plus the best part is that even though its street, it still has a tendency to move us. For me, it made me laugh because of Crap, but besides that I feel the same.

Sometime we have no control. Need distance and a lot of time to forget. A excellent poem. I like the story in the poem. Ending too.

you write well in a one-topic linear plane...your writes go in a straight line on THAT particular topic or theme. It might increase the interest of the reader if you made TWO topics (both of course relative or "sub" the main topic of the poem) like a dichotomy, black and white, good and evil, light and dark...etc. That way you could contrast the feeling you are communicating to make it MORE intense and impinging-MAXIMUM effect. Like "you say you love me but then you hurt me" "the morning light shone in the window but in my heart it was still night" just to give an example. You can also exaggerate one of the pair more than the other, "the first hint of morning light shone in the window but in my heart it was still the blackest night." Just a thought...

I have had a few poems like this. One of mine is called Fiery Anger. I like the simple way you put things in this poem. It spells it all out without sugar coating anything.

Haha, relatable and to the point. I liked the format of this, and thought that it flowed really well. :) As much as I try and avoid it, yelling something out like that is sometimes the only way to get it all out of your system. Hahaha, nice work,

Ranting poems tend to make good reads. I know that felling, the felling of regret.
