Lonely funny face

Am I just another funny face?
A good laugh?
Someone people pass around
When they need a good chuckle?

Am I an object
That people can just pass around
Step on
Ignore till they remember i'm there?

Am I just the class clown
That people enjoy laughing at?

The royal courts fool
That must come when called?

Am I just that person
That happens to be there when your feeling blue?
Am I just that nice face to look at
When your feeling lonely?

Am I that wall you lean up against
When your feet get tired?
That chair you sit in
When it's been a long hard day?

I don't have that...

That nice chair to sit in when i'm tired
I don't have that wall to lean against when my feet get weary
I don't have that single face to look at when I am feeling sad

I stand in crowded rooms
Full of people
Making them laugh
And feel better

And as I stand in that room
Full of people
Never before
Have I ever felt so lonely....

Author's Note

I lean on God, he is my wall, and my chair. But sometimes I don't always feel him around and it would be nice if I had more people in my life that I could lean on. I feel like I am not a person i'm a character who is meant to read the script and nothing else...I just want to feel something ANYTHING!!!

this is a very personal and deeply moving piece of poetry, which personifies that

I was always the clown, still am, the strong tower they run to when their in a jam, the shoulder to cry on as if my heart is steel, the face they quickly forget when everythings ok.........But over time I have gotten used to this roll, so I'll play the fool and they can have fun

Oh wow I can feel your pain through your words and understand... having so many friends and yet feeling alone.. you feel like it is out of sight out of mind with everyone. I have been there, still am from time to time.

i know how you feel sarah... its hard to go through life no matter who you are. just want you to know that, i'm always here for ya if you need someone to lean on or talk to. no matter how mentally or emotional unstable i am, i'm a good listener :) and i try to be a good friend.
