Never too far gone

Never too far gone

A Poem by sarah

I can't save you
No matter how hard I try
No matter what I say
I can't save your soul

That's a choice you have to make
I can try to answer as many of your questions
As I possibly can
And believe me I will try my hardest

But nothing I say
Will save you
Nothing I do
Will make you want God in your life

That's a choice you have to make
Because it's a relationship
That's just between you
And God

I will try to set an example
I will try to help you see the truth
I will try to be there for you
No matter what path you chose

Just no matter what
I hope you know
That just because I can't save you
Doesn't mean He can't

Because no matter what happens
No matter what you do
No matter what things you chose to do
Doesn't mean you are too far gone

God will save your soul
Whether you think you deserve it or not
He will hold you in his love
Even if you try to run from him

So just because I can't save your soul
Doesn't mean he can't
Or won't....

Author's Note

sarah
I am currently talking to my cousin about Christ and I was also talking to my friend about Him the other day as well and I just wanted to write this. I don't really like talking about religion with my cousins cause we already don't have a good
relationship talking about that stuff doesn't improve it

Religion is a touchy subject with people.
this poem was just as good as the rest of those.
from what you write about so often, you seem to lose a lot of people over it.
im sorry.
just don't forget to show love and kindness in everything you do darling. everything will be alright. :)

lots of love,

Great wisdom in your words. You are correct. The person who need guidance and a proper road must decide. Thank you for a excellent poem.

A moving and provocative piece of poetry. I don't really believe in God. In fact, I don't even think I do believe in Him. I'm a Christian, I just don't practice my religion. But I can hear what you are saying in this poem, feel what you're emitting. Wonderfully written and thought-provoking

You stated your beliefs well, in this beautifully penned write. I hope next time you want to bring up God to the people, whom you mentioned, that you just hand them this. Yes, sometimes the best way that we can share God with others is by doing and being godly ourselves. Our actions can speak louder than words!

This is one amazing poem, which tells the truth, Just because you can't save them does nt mean god can't. All we have to do is show them who God is and what he is to us. To follow him is there choice. Great poem!

This carries such a powerful message of love... of God's grace and mercy... and your heart as well... So filled with the depth of life, and Third Day is awesome.
