the final wreck

the final wreck

A Poem by ana

"

Where does one end?

Constantly spilling over,

Tainting the ones around you,

Anyone who dares to command you

To change.

Maybe you were living in disguise

For way too long.

Do you remember how it feels

To scream?

To bleed?

To burn?

Maybe you don’t,

And that’s okay too.

Now you are barefoot,

Satin on your ankles,

As you walk through the thicket

Of your past

Choices,

Fights,

Lives.

You can smell it,

Taste it,

Before you can see it.

The sea salt feels heavy on your tongue,

Maybe just as heavy as what’s in your

Pockets.

Your style is very cool and it lures the reader in. I like where this goes though I am not too sure about the ending line but to me, that is what makes this one special. I can take it wherever I like. Nicely done.
