Clay Pigeon

Clay Pigeon

A Poem by Placid Stranger
"

Trying to make sense of a life, and after.

"

Persistently crackling radio waves

Silence is golden just isn't the case

First begin by saying your prayers

Please mean it now without my tears

Lay me down to sleep I go

My All In All, please take her soul

Our feasts for Him will always be done

Yours we know has just begun

From planets beyond with three bright stars

Maybe one winked I see from afar

What are clay pigeons feathers made of?

A flightless bird sings songs from above

You'll grow your wings, I know it to be

A story with an end is too selfish for me

One lie sort of caught my attention when I stumbled over it, not quite sure if you meant to writer like it is written.
"Maybe one winked I think I saw"
It also didn't rhyme with the line above (and I picked up a rhyming pattern from the other stanzas). Other then that, this was a gorgeously written poem! It was touching, loving, and inspired a bit of questioning on my part. I can't wait to read more of your work!
