Gravity's Indifference

Gravity's Indifference

A Poem by schlanks

It never happened for a minute
Chains of remade memories
Collect the better half of me
To present me to reality
Sticking my sick and sorry face in it

Discomposure in a place of comfort
Skin at unease, stomach encumbered
Eyes far and unaware, remembered

Stare down the loud sun's dawning notion
Stagnant and the lead impedes
Slow and steady, weight recedes
Finding parts of me I need
To set the sudden day in motion

I need to set the day in motion

All feedback welcome. This poem is an old one of mine I found that I still like enough to post. A rarity indeed.

Regardless of who we are, what we think, what we look like, we will find ourselves presented to a new day every 24 hours. Best to put our better foot forward, losing a step is not in the cards because that clock still ticks and that new day is on its way. Nice one. This is how I interpreted it.

Thank you June!
Oh, what we have to do to set a day going. I sometimes wonder if a new one will begin! Nice feel here, Schlanks.
