Box Of Hearts~

Box Of Hearts~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole

Eros dreamed himself a perfect sheath of moon skin

from night’s shell

a blood diamond box in his hand

between the dew pearls of me and the lavender of satin sheets

he carved himself a place against my thigh

whispering

“open it”

Inside

four chocolate hearts

fluid

dusted with coveted images entwined

in sugared glaze

he smiled

“eat them”

One

a birth against my mouth

in raspberry cream

Oshun in girl body

pouring tea

her storm colored eyes

tapped into

the covetous gaze

of the inherent

raw male;

in time I learned to use it to my advantage

Two

a  stroke of lies

in butter cream

Achtland a subtle pressure

in lime strobes

lines of bodies

undulations

downpour into giving shape

giving fluid

taking moist mind between layers of seduction;

it was instinctive feed for a  cultivated fetish charm like me

Three

snake curves

in apricot brandy

Nebt Het winding arms

a temple arch back

into his wine eyes

sinuous solo

in and out

between his thighs

her scales the sound of creation;

I found my allure in the way they worshipped at my hips

Four

jeweled lips

white dove in cherry liquor

Peitho with honeysuckle oration

a Bushido gripped in her fist

come into her own

bleeding seduction in ink

heroine on a journey

a girl rescued from herself at her side

men scattered at dainty feet;

I have learned to rock myself, to be my own redeemer, to revere my feral heart

~Eros left a note at dawn for the woman curled in a cat’s cradle

a box filled with rubies

on her nightstand

her arrow in his heart~

In each Candy we see a God.............God of love,of beauty, and with the sensual flow I was drooling, in each chocolate a discovery, and this for me says so much....

heroine on a journey
a girl rescued from herself at her side
men scattered at dainty feet;
I have learned to rock myself, to be my own redeemer, to revere my feral heart

We all take many journeys in life.........but few write as you do, with a story in a story.

It's hard to describe this poem in any form other than a verb like...crawls, consumes, caresses. It's absolutely enchanting. It's wonderfully sensual and raw, as intoxicating as its subject matter, but it still maintains this beautiful poetic elegance that makes it worth reading again and again and again. Extremely well done. This poem is stunning.

Selene, as I read your beautiful articulations I feel we are sisters of the soul. I too embrace my feral instincts and love the thrills I derive from doing so. Your poetry is a journey into the inner workings of a womans mind. One I am in complete agreement with. Life is not for the timid...

ohh.... (shudder) how beautifully attractive... I read this and couldn't help but bite my lips... Wonderful. It was like my mind and soul came together in one sensual coil reading this. Thank you.

The imagery that you use here as always Selene is spot on. It's one of those abstract sensual poems that hits you both in your heart and your mind upon re-reading. I adore your use of the gods yet again both Greek and Japanese, but you interweave them together so delightfully, the flow is like the creamy smooth of grenache hand made chocolates.

Lovely work

This was a piece that I don't and wouldn't want to let out of my mind with the very visual things you have painted. Good write.

Selene, I adore your work love! There is a lways a surreal slant on ancient mythology, a message, a hidden desire, a prolonged passion and so forth lol
Always mind blowing to read your work love:)
This is stunningly written, a devotion that is returned with an arrow, wow - intense, beautiful and downright EXCELLENT! lol

Sometimes there is nothing to do other than to leave an arrow in his heart. Beautiful, mythic, eros.

Selene, you are a writer par excellence of the 21st century ! The flow of every line, the imagery, the visualness, the touch and taste, the colors and the 'story' perfectly delight all my senses and transport me to another realm....the realm of YOU....so near and yet so far, with me caught in the middle

This is my favorite part, for me it sums the entire poem up in one verse.. oh, but the other verses, so lovely, vivid , alluring and arousing .. what a gift you have with words, images metaphors. Excellent poem!
