Koi Shoulder~

Koi Shoulder~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole

sleek baby

sleek

oriental geisha displaced beautifully

from samurai pulse

into ghetto brick shoes

dainty lift of chin

giving coy smile

over koi shoulder

will you be the hero who opens me rib

by rib

dive my liquid soul

for a scroll

a parchment to ink

stained

peach hips

crawl me with calligraphy dreams

pouring from between your lips

strong teeth through my stone

dig me like a bed of bones

she throws a bone

hip hop junkie bleeding lavender through musk cologne

when I unwind

can you rewind

my selector button silver spine

give me

give me

your good mind

my claws need a bed in this sordid book of lies

my spine

unhinged

the brink

take me over

spread me in a bed of clovers

pull me out

pull me through

I keep telling you this body was made to bend every rule

for broken is as broken does

grasp from the air the war torn dove

over dark roast aroma

hungry little mouth pursed

a lush berry burst

shaking sunlight out of skin for pearls

such a scary girl

with such terrible hungers

is it any wonder

every prince blunders

in a coy smile over a koi shoulder

so damn hard to hold me hold her

jasmine oil mind

bent

 inside a thousand pixilated  grinds

up in the club

where love runs the threads of my supple gloves

fist between a rock out

and a hardscape

you sure you want a girl like this

all up in your dreamscape

girl never meant for every day human consumption

though it is the deadly assumption

inside that coy smile

that lethal

archetype guile

I've loved this poem since I read it first...a woman desired and desiring to be loved...yet knowing she is not the ideal of every man...desired but resigned to love on her terms...desired but believing there be few to stand the muster of the dance...few prepared to submit to her kind of love...yet wishing...knowing all would love to make their play...all would kneel and submit but few would stand in the power of the gale...when loved your way...many would wither but none would forget...and only those fearless few with hunger raw and talons drawn are worthy to make you explode into a blaze of stars...
Demure and demonic in the same sigh...
unforgettable...

Wonderful! The myriad of images that enhance the underlying story are breathtaking in their own right.

well, mamakoi, this was rich like a heavy dessert...it makes the reader hungry for what is set before them...or perhaps that's just me saying i'm hungry for sushi?

Absolutely outstanding love!
The Japenese here is brilliantly incorparated :) An infusion on the skin, soul, mind, thoughts, afterglow of inprinted ink and aura!
AWESOME

Hey, this is very clever, the pun creating all sorts of images of slippery wetness and shy avoidance... the portrait of a girl used and abused yet wanting her berry to burst... I loved the phrase 'jasmine oil mind' - oriental and beguiling...

Wonderfully imaginative writing, with a thread of pain throughout

Seriously... If Wu had an open spot for a female, I would definitely vote you in. This is hip hop... I have the urge to drop a beat for this one... Bobbin' my head to it already, and I don't even have Reason opened yet. The Japanese influence grabs at me too (life long dream of mine to visit Japan... I figured I could find a decent dojo over there).

Well written again, great vibe, nice rhythm and poetry. Favorite.

archetype guile...well, it not "guile" exactly; more like an invitation to tomorrow, which we are genetically designed to approve...as for your larger question, coy smiles are passe, and so is human consumption; but the little girl who needs a friend, she's found one...she sings so sweetly, hiding there in the leaves
