I have a soul

seam it

I have blood

redeem it

 

I have eyes

see me

I have lips

creamy

I have hips

dreamy

I have you

easy

 

I have wrists

bind them

I have pearls

find them

I have bones

grind them

I have thighs

ride them

 

I have words

taste them

I have my throat

lace them

I have love

wasp-waisted

I have bite

baited

 

I have him

undo me

I have her

sweat through me

I have them

to move me

I have me

to cool me

 

I have a beat    

pound with it

I have a kiss

drown in it

I have a need

bound with it

I have a sin

ground in it

 

I have soul

pour through me

I have man

undo me

I have sea  

to sooth me

I have earth

I agree with David Moore. The very same line jumped out at me as well for the very same reason. Other than this, the poem's simplicity definitely gives strength to the piece. I love the ending as well, "I have earth/redo me." Excellent!
