Bleeding Onyx~

Bleeding Onyx~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole

my paintbrush

my soul

exposed

watercourse

epic peel

off karmic wheel

fingertips

citrus human rind

combined

mulberry spiral skin

ripping curls

torn ribbon girl

a pile of dreams in stains

left in footprint crush

rebuff

on all fours

bones on display

milky sway

smears of ink eating neon light

she fights

only herself

nature a hum

venus on a broken shell

become

becoming

succumb

eyes a void

avoid

devoid of hope

fingertips

dripping onyx

voice box

open

polyphonic

she pours the night

working it past her throat

into her mouth

shedding

a second skin

begin

again

origins of sin

amen!

center of attention

crucified adoration

numinous mutation

pinned to velvet

she vanishes

visible in onyx

rebirth

supersonic

decanted

in leather

ironic

liquid girl

wine girl

sweet

complete

dripping stain

on every hungry mouth

black out

smiling girl

taking it all with a granule of blood

painting it all with her onyx mud

lock and load

a song

hey ho

let’s go

she laughs

attacks

herself

a spot of ink

streaming

pain

pool of rain

bleeding onyx

preordained

add on: this girl likes constructive criticism served with suggestions~ in answer to the perception of 'pretentious' below me~ the font was chosen for its similarity to ink stains and meant to enhance the poem~and not to elicit snarky comments~ thank you and have a nice day~

I Absolutely Love this...
It is...
heated marrow seeping from bone onto thin-as-eggshell fine china...pitch ink pouring from a broken pen leaking onto balmy palms of ivory hands...a bloody-stain splatter on screaming magnolia blossoms
This Is Exquisite!!!!!

I like how this dripped onto the canvas of my mind.

This was just fascinating to read, a whirlwind of images bleeding into one another, almost like watching an indie rock video, amusing and wonderful. I really enjoyed this piece. I'm not a huge fan of large font, I would have enjoyed it more if the letters were smaller, not sure why so I'm just putting it out there since that was the only suggestion I could muster. Thanks for sharing darling, outstanding work, as usual.

I LIKE HOW EVERYTHING IS LIKE METAPHORE...
BUT...
IT'S NOT AT THE SAME TIME...
HISTORIC...

A feast of lively images in a poem that flows with elegance. As usual, great.

sigh... I see I've missed the hoopla this time around. It never changes much... different sites, different people, same tainted humanity, as it only takes one every now and again to remind me that they are the general rule and not the exception... and the exceptions are fewer and farther between these days. I should have always followed my instinct about just turning this vile box of communication into a type writer and post office only!! My foolish misguided heart keeps returning to the idea of a community haven of friends among friends, you know, the goodwill of Mankind and all that jazz. What planet am I living on?!

Without the pettiness of Ego, why Humankind would be nothing at all (and yes, to that next person so full of him or herself, that was sarcasm!!)

Any who, I loved the write for all the obvious reasons, my dear poet; my compliments could never even come close to the true beauty you encapsulate within every string of words, Selene. You know, I've said it before and I'll say it again... This sorry a** world doesn't deserve your many talents, but thank all the powers that THINK they be that they do have you.....

Now how in the world are we to critique the work of such a profound poet. This feels impromptu, like I need to be at your footstool allowing your voice and the stream of words to percolate my ears. The ink font contributes beautifully to the theme. And the powerful liquidy drip of words make me feel the heartrending message. I find it perfect, but I need your voice to go with it.

This flows so insightfully like a flow of thoughts or streams of ink dripping down to paint in darkest hues. I love the imagery and emotion each line and phrase create. Richly voiced.

No! No breaks. Work work work (I need my daily fix, is that too selfish?)
