~humbled flower seeking water~

Tulip patterns in crimson

tattooed

on the underside of my phantom eucharist

a portrait between my hands

I pour the color from my eyes

into the glass

under a windmill

orbiting blades against the clouds

I am looking for you in the frame

drawing hearts in the condensation

with my fingertip . . . .

I often find myself doing that. Simply put and it gets the point across quite eloquently. I commend you for that because this poem wouldn't have had the same effect if you would've drowned it in...oh hell what's the word I'm looking for...extravagant wording. (Isn't exactly what I was going for but it works.) You know when to hold back as oppose to drenching the reader with excess. Bravo =)

two lips in crimson...well, there it is, the whole story...our eyes are captured, and we fall into the avalanche of longing...and we stand there on the corner with that blue vase in our hands, hoping she will come along with some latte
