Bind~

Bind~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole

Here is the book . . . .

to the observant eye it is not simply white leather

but bound with the moon

the silver embossed letters have a four dimensional quality

that bleed from the cover to play with dust motes swimming the sunlight

the language is very old

in fact it may well have been written before the first man felt mud on his feet

but that is a fancy

though in the curl of seemingly disjointed letters

there seems to be a movement

a rhyme to the reason of the story;

a bone man with ink eyes reopened this book inside an ivory cradle

gently he unlatched the jeweled clasp

and opened it to the first page

whispering

"You were made for me"

as he left the indents of his fingertips

and mind

deep within the leather

Here is the book . . . .

opened to the middle

where it is frayed and fragile

a violet pressed between two pages

butterflies in its skin

a story weeping its body in deep ink across a indigo drawing

of a mad girl laughing in the skin of a wolf

purity dripping down her thighs into a soft

reflective pool

as a hundred odd men worship her

with a curious brand of love;

one man with cream hair and ocean eyes

kisses the back of her tiny hand

a garland of lilies for her brow

whispering

"You were made for this"

Here is the book . . . .

her pages rushing under a thousand hands

writing and rewriting the color of her eyes

patterns that may be words branding the brittle pages

until

the back cover shuts out the sounds of laughter and screams

and murmuring lives

and the woman locks her eyes

her lips swollen with countless generations aching to be told

she flips the book

which to the observant eye is manifested in calligraphic flesh

and rare

white ink bones

she pushes it across the table

she says

"Rewrite me . . . .rebind me . . . .I was made for this, after all"

Here is the book . . . .

You are the most beloved yet tattered book in the hands of all humanity... I often ponder whether they should be aloud(pun intended) to read it for themselves, with their soiled little fingers of immaturity... perhaps it should only be read to them, from the hands of Motherhood, the voice of experience, and the wisdom from which it spills and to which they attain to grasp... sigh, after all, if we want to preserve the beauty within, should not we caress the vessel that carries it with delicate love???

beauty is in the eye of the beholder...this made me feel a lot of things that I can't put into words

"we are all books of blood"

surreal or not, your message comes across clean and clear, one never has to guess where you're coming from...perhaps i'm biased? who knows, enjoyed this one, because it is so befitting of you

These words say so much about the magical influence of words and books. I especially love the opening image: 'not simply white leather
but bound with the moon' and '... is manifested in calligraphic flesh
and rare white ink bones...' and all the lovely words in between.

Oh wow, cupcake.....are we not all pages tightly bound.....a superb journey of creation, of beauty, and wisdom, I read twice, and sank between the pages and the end is sheer perfection as only you can do.....

which to the observant eye is manifested in calligraphic flesh

and rare

white ink bones

she pushes it across the table

she says

"Rewrite me . . . .rebind me . . . .I was made for this, after all"

Haunting in the most beautiful manner...with imagery with an acutely aesthetic feel..."You were made for this"...affirming the twists of Fate that we are subject to...

wow....just wow....I don't know what this means to others...but to me it is almost a feel of not belonging to any of the stories told on earth...so we are to rewrite the truths...bare as they may be....to reach the end goal of pure love...regardless beautiful write :)

there are so many beautiful lines in this writing...

"gently he unlatched the jeweled clasp
...opened it to the first page
whispering
"You were made for me"

"her pages rushing under a thousand hands
writing and rewriting the color of her eyes"

she pushes it across the table
she says "Rewrite me . . . .rebind me . . . "

A human life is the only book written by its readers... for we do not write ourselves, no matter how we want to... wonderful writing; goes beyond mere poetry into the realm where myth resides...

It is truly the handlers that shape the words of our book, and those pages reflect outwardly to the skin that makes up our covering--most of the time worn and mishandled. But in some instances--your case--my eyes behold an antique novel full of priceless gems of wisdom hidden to the foolish but revealed to the perceptive.

We each have a path to follow leading others to weave through the muck with grace. You have indeed shown this each time you put pen to paper. It matters not if each reader interprets differently, you lead them thorough your story to be free to admit their own truths.
Oh, and I wannna sign you =)
