This Karmic Meal~

This Karmic Meal~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole

scribe

imbibed

vibed out

skin sloughed

palms grating

a girl baiting

a curl of lip

oracle debating

you're a channel, baby

hell, I thought I was a hustler

a cluster

he musters his last thrust of mind

giving it good

she takes a dip

a swim in his sinew from behind

rolling, devastating delight

on her tongue

this rite

in the pleats of a kite

he knows the stream has an end

the stream, the human animal

unwound a god

malcontent

in his fine wines

in his finer lies

the end is the dam built by upright limitations

self imposed, embedded in the bones of nations

some days I say let 'em bleed

let 'em feed the greed

undo a thousand and one good deeds

other days my body weeps

as humanity repeats

repeals

my mind scrambles for a goddamn break

but your mind coils me like a snake

eats it all

drinks

napkin folds

gives it back, redeemed in scrolls

for a future unlikely to be

god in reverse

strike three

absentee

looks on

broken as its progeny

backtrack

flashback

comfy days

fruit of the day

too late

too late

one god shambles backwards

another takes the throne

you gonna be the first to throw the stone?

on and on

one

aim the gun

two

unbuckle her

against the yew

three

killing spree

human stole

deity, pressed against a shoe's sole

ground deep into the dirt

neither learns

not one damn thing

welcome to the unwound reel

of the long run

on the hamster wheel

kneel

fall hard

eat it all

swallow down this karmic meal

you've manifested

torn open now, the final seal.. . .

Once again you have the rhythm down so perfect for the feel of the piece, and I love the rhyme in your work as of late. What a message in this, or at least how I take it, Ideologies are a dime a dozen, but most of the time they are taken as misconceptions to their reality. Maybe the most surreal subject of them all religion.

Great Write!

Sadness. This state we humans contrive ourselves to be in. No fault of any god. We see our mistakes and churn on in the same manner, while those that understand can do nothing but cry and point it out.

Tortuous scribbling of taunting subjects...

Should I be the one to throw the stone? Am I pure enough for such things? Probably not. I do enjoy a good killing spree from time to time. Another excellent write. But anything less would be hell freezing over.

Regards,

Matthew

A most strong write, with a pulse all its own. It echos and pounds as it goes down, sinks in to the mind of the reader. Flawless imagery, as one would expect from a Selene poem, with a gritty flavour to be enjoyed and savoured over and over again

i HEARD this. There was a voice, an insinuating kind of slick voice rolling around in my head. He had some kind of a city-smooth streetcorner accent and i swear i could not have walked away from him - from this - for anything.

With each line i think of something new- you have woven your words tightly ..
The short lines make it all the more powerful. You are such a gifted writer..i am pleased to read your beautiful surreal poetry- the title is fantastic.
