go ahead, lie to me.

abuse me

mentaly

physically

spiritually

take me

break me

forsake me

 

lie and say you're my friend

lie and tell me you need me

lie and keep me holding on till the end

lie when you look deep into my eyes

lie, go ahead and just pretend

 

soon it will find you in a rubber room

crying silent tears of pain

while years upon years

bring about your karmic disdain

 

so lie to me darling

tell me how much you care

say you will never ever leave me

as you walk away and leave me there

 

lie to me

 

don't try and tell me the truth

you have lied to me for this long

I got used to such pain in my youth

I can take it

I'm a big girl

so go ahead

Wow, this poem's message is an important one, one that I appreciate you translating into such a powerful poem. I love that the speaker is fighting back in her own way, that she knows what he's gonna say, that it's a lie. I know it can be very easy to believe that lie sometimes, but your poem symbolizes the wisdom woman need to have so we can read men, so we know when they are lying. you can feel the pain through out
It's so sad when love shared between two is damaged in this way
