One Moment in time

 there is a moment in time

when the sun has all but disappeared

 the moon has just begun

to show his face

one moment in time

where stars hang half lit

street lights glow dull

this moment in time

between

sunset and starlight

between

sun rays and moonbeams

this one moment in time

before the moon has reached his peak

before the suns yellow glow

has turned to soft white

this one moment in time

between the birds song

and the crickets symphony

this one moment in time

so beautiful

yet so hard to capture

but if I could

I would give it to you

so you would know

each night

that this one moment in time

belongs to us

i live in the midwest and approx. 27 miles from town. driving home from work i take the dirt raods and drive between 15 and 30 mph. i am blessed with these moments as the sun goes down the clouds drift the lighting changes the corn flutters like swallows wings... i am never ceased to be amazed and humbled by it all...tried once to click a shutter on such a moment but grabbed the camera and it was all over...moving on ..:)) i love your poem very much.
