Hi Frieda. A lovely write and skillfully crafted traditional haiku. Perfect 5/7/5 syllabic form. Heartfelt. Good imagery, flow and tone. Lovely depth of feeling; a beautiful way to express the magic of love by the soft fluttering of a butterfly. Good word choice. Well penned and a most enjoyable read. Write on!

I don't usually believe in that kind of stuff, but when we said our goodbye's on the church steps that day and a lovely butterfly hovered between my bother and me, that clinched it for me, or I wanted it so to be true...!

That's just beautiful..... I understand what you say, and mean.... when my grandfather died, the Sakura tree was in full bloom, the petals fluttered around the ceremony ... I hear of stories, I unfortunately never known him, but it impressed my dad there was such a strong feeling around that. (although he's such grounded and a real realist) but it was a sign of life... of everything get's a place, you know... touching dear, you shared that with me, thank you xx
