The Little Girl in Memory LaneA Poem by Shalini Dinesh (Poet's World)
As I walk into my memory lane,
Flipping pages of reminiscence chain, Stopped in awe, froze did I ? Looking at me, I questioned why! A young free soul, roamed in joy did she? In her tiny world laughed in glee, Splashes of paint and colors all, Those childhood days as I recall! Like flowers that bloomed in spring light, Filled with love, was her smile bright, No fret, or distress nor concerned was she, The little girl in my memory I see.... I wonder why & where'd she go? Took with her the joyous glow In souvenir of thoughts she stood so tall, Once again to become her I'd give my all.... © 2022 Shalini Dinesh (Poet's World) |
