Mickey's Gift

Mickey's Gift

A Poem by Shalini Dinesh (Poet's World)

Mickey wanted to gift minnie,

Thought of a cute little thing
But alas, he had no penny,
He sat there sad and weeping.

Mr. Donald gave his helping hand,
He sat there thinking hard,
But all his ideas were so bland,
Finally he took out a card.

They went to Pluto, the wise pup,
For he would give some hint,
Pluto winked and gave a cup,
Which had some cash and mint.

Mickey yelled and jumped in joy,
As the three went to shop,
There he found a cute toy,
which would jump and hop.

Chewing the mint in joy and gay,
They walked to Mickey’s house,
Daisy came across their way,
Who was Donald’s spouse!

Daisy joined her hubby’s team,
To help them wrap the toy,
then she adorned it with a lacy seam,
seeing this, minnie will really enjoy

Minnie entered her tidy room,
She was filled with awe,
She heard a voice say “boom”,
And laughed at what she saw.
