Other Side

Other Side

A Poem by sheila.j
"

Something that just flew outta me ha

"
Interesting, that's what this is
it fascinates me, being on the other side
looking at the blank wall
dirty like always
but you see it differently
your eyes look at my wall
and envy the dirt
or maybe you fail to see it
either way who are you to
even think that I have some sort of
clean slate. some kind of
silver platter lifestyle
filled with the comforts
of all varieties.
the very fact that you even thought
I've had my happiness handed to me
from the very beginning makes
my blood boil and my vision go red
I pity you for the ignorance you
have. You wouldn't be so quick to
sign the dotted line if you
read the fine print. So how is this
any different?

:) thank you!!
I love the part where you say "You wouldn't be so quick to sign the dotted line if you read the fine print" this line jumped out at me when I read it, I think it is very clever. :)

:) that's one of my favorite lines ha
"I pity you for all the ignorance you have", this is f*cking awesome Sheila, and for a quick write even more so. Well done! We ourselves are often quick to judge others who seem problemless while we carry the weight of the world.. We feel envy, just as they do. This is great. :)

The other side, where the grass always looks greener...I'd say this is pretty great for a quick write :)
