A Tale Of Light & Fight

A Tale Of Light & Fight

A Poem by Siddhartha

Cataclysmic temblors
Exploding reactors
Unimaginable horrors
Unseen terrors
Monstrous seas
Shifting axis
Crashing waves
A catastrophic octave

Heartrending cries
Vanishing lives
Desperate tries
Drowning hopes
Tears, sobs
Time stops
Homes razed
Lives lost
Minds dazed
Radioactive rays
Fires blaze
A nation prays
to turn over
a new page

Unseen courage
Belief, faith
in the face of
a certain death
Cruel fate
Fight
Fight
Fight
till the last breath

Indomitable spirit
Valor, grit
Patience, thrift
A gift

Siddhartha
I hope I did justice to what I set out to articulate...For words fail before the juggernaut of nature and the willpower of man...

This is an amazing poem, Siddhartha.. filled both sorrow and hope, pain, loss, renewal of spirit. I think when Nature tries to reclaim what is hers we see this kind of destruction.. we would do well to live on the land in peace with Nature and not destroy Nature.. she will always reclaim her Earth, though tragic it will be for humans. Excellent write, my friend.

Yeah, taking on that subject is brave to begin with, I think you have done a wonderful job capturing the situation and the hearts and minds that it will take to get through. Nice tribute...great writing.
