How to kill a man?

How to kill a man?

A Chapter by Sauav Karki

1.
look into his eyes.
Smile and crawl in his skin.
Talk of life, talk of love
Make him try.

2.
Read his mind
Feel and get inside his blood.
Walk under morning sky, walk under sun.
pretend to be best he may find.

3.
Touch his spirit.
hold him and hold his heart.
break his faith, make him forgive.
He'd always be on his knees

4.
Flame his hope.
lie and betray his world
change your love, change your side
leave, bother not if his breathe stops.

5.
Ask him to smile.
Tell him all was out of your will.
Stab his heart and burn down his soul.
he may look alive still but no more

his mind keeps searching for reasons;
no one can see the death hiding in his eye.

I really enjoyed this. It seemed very creative, at least it was to me. I've never heard of anything like this before. I also love that the title is about "killing" a man, which leads the reader to believe that it's going to be something more physical. Then you get into it and realize it's about how to kill a man's soul, which is just so much more profound.

The first stanza was definitely my favorite. It drew me right in, and set the stage brilliantly for what was to come. I also loved the last line, "no one can see the death hiding in his eye." I like the way that it seems to imply that he's alive and dead at the same time.

"break his faith, make him forgive. He'd always be on his knees" I didn't understand how this really fit together. Breaking his faith seems like a bad thing, making him forgive seems like a good thing, and always being on your knees could be either (good if he's being devout and pious, bad if he's just totally cowed).

Knowing you hold the power to break hearts is a dark and unwelcome knowledge. Great poem.
