Like the Sun Loves the Moon.

Like the Sun Loves the Moon.

A Poem by Hannah Berry
"

Yeeeeep. Not my best but whatever

"
she wants to love and be
loved,
like the sun loves the moon
and the brilliant stars love the night sky.
she wants to touch and be touched,
by the gentle rough weathered skin of another being.
she wants what so many want,
to be happy and to feel
whole.
to feel no void or empty space where her heart should be;
should be, but it
isn't
and never will be
because
she is not loved,
like the sun loves the moon.
she is not touched,
or gently caressed by another being
she is never happy
and she always feels that
void
it eats her alive and
she knows
she will whither within herself
and she will die alone in
this bitter
world.

I like this idea - "Like the Sun loves the Moon" - that's a great image in itself. Though you have some good lines here, I feel like you are missing some opportunities with this metaphor and the potential imagery. I suggest that you work on this piece - there's a good start in these lines!
