Midnight SaunterA Poem by Sonia
Previous Version This is a previous version of Midnight Saunter. On those starfilled nights i sit and ponder Of the place over yonder Where my heart grew much fonder Of those lonely midnight saunters
We would hold hands and walk together Unbroken even in stormy weather Where you told me "forever" Our hearts were light as feathers
Why then, did you leave? Like water through a seive My heart began to freeze Our moments became only memories
In my nightmares i still recall The night they told me of your fall Their comforts were no use at all They couldn't bring back my beloved Paul
On those starfilled nights i sit and ponder Of the place over yonder Where my heart grew much fonder Of those lonely midnight saunters © 2009 Sonia
