Have You Ever

hopefully someone can relate, so i know i'm not alone

Not everyone feels the same things

None of us are the same

But have you ever felt these things? 

Tell me, please, so I know I'm not alone

Have you ever been so ashamed that the only thing you want to do 

Is crawl into a hole and never show your face again? 

To never let your embarrassment show? 

And never let your faults surface?

Have you ever made a mistake that cost you a relationship?

Said or did one thing wrong

To make the walls go up? 

And no matter how hard you tried, you couldn't seem to break them down? 

Have you ever lay awake at night

Overthinking and wishing you could change the past? 

Filling your time with regret

And hoping for a do-over day?

Have you ever loved someone so much you can't breathe?

You don't know what to do or how to act

Everyday, you worry about what they think of you

And how they feel in return? 

Have you ever been unsure of what choice to make

Scared that the wrong decision will ruin your future? 

Going back and forth between your options

Trying to see where each path reads?

Have you ever doubted your faith

Wondering if there really is a God out there

Unsure that your cries are being heard

Or if you're praying for something from no one?

Have you ever felt so alone

That it's as if you're a ghost no one can see

With no one to ask the question burning in your mind

Why is life going on without me? 

Have you ever seen only closed doors before you

Left thinking that there is no way out

Believing that there is no reason for you to keep living, no hope for your future

And just wanting to end it all? 

I've felt all of these things at one time or another

Hell, I felt some of these things today

But I want you to know, loud and clear

And as a reminder to myself too

WE ARE NOT ALONE

You are not alone i can relate to some of that, you just need to find a way of getting passed it.
