I love you.

I love you.

A Poem by rach

Theres something I want to say,
But I don't have the words.
I catch glimpses of them before they fly away,
As elusive as a red crowned crane or a forest owlet,
Flittering about in the corner of my eye but when I turn round,
Gone.
Its a feeling.
Deep down in the pit of my stomach,
reaching though my core.
Many words may have been created, told, whispered and written,
Trying to describe the churning stomach and the tingling of nerves.
But they are too common,
Overused,
and abused.
To create new words, would sound like gibberish,
To say it in a different language is a romantic thought,
But it is no different,
It is not adequate.
If I told you I loved you everyday how could it hold the same meaning as when it was first said?
The meaning would fade,
As common as responding to "how are you"?
"I'm good"
Even if your not,
You don't say other wise, The words mean nothing.
So how can I put into words the thrill I experience when I see you face,
Like the climax of a roller coaster,
The euphoria that hardly seems real,
And the peace,
The peace that floods through my body like a raging river,
And sweeps away any fears, doubts, worries.
What words could I use, to make you understand?

Thank you, you beautiful soul.
This is deeply expressive. No combination of words will make someone understand if they aren't fit to understand. Find your own understanding and someone who has done so in a similar fashion will cross your path.

Thank you!
It is clear that you spent some time creating this masterpiece.
The precision of the words you use and the perfect grammar.
Many of us have told ourselves the same things.
There ARE no other words one can use.
Saying them at the right moment and with heart is the only way to let our loved ones know it's real.
Great poetry.

I always tell my partner that there are no words I could use,
I was trying to expand on it.read more

I'm sure your partner knows. Just look into the eyes. When the sparkle is gone you'll know.
The similes and the words you used really add to the magic created by this piece. If more love struck people could write like i think we'd experience a baby boom. Well done!
