~ Green Flash ~

~ Green Flash ~

A Poem by Sophy Freebirds
"

A deceitful hope or real illusion

"
Streaks of azure sky,
Mirror itself in the ocean by..
As the world bathes in the;
Golden glint of the sun
There is darkness for none..

The clouds float around
Pale blue lightening
Of the sinking sun..
A green flash shoots up
In the dusking sky!
Kissing the lowest peak
A sorrowful goodbye!
Is it just the stark truth
Clothed deceptively in
An hopeful illusion??
Or just a figment of imagination??

Vast landscape of unending droplets.
Reflecting the cold grey cirrus,
Is washed over by a shadowy blaze..

Before the night is bare,
Sun showers her last rays...
Moon rains her infant beams....
As heaven overflows....
A state of divine rapture,
Which was unknown is found;
As two yearning souls
Merge together,
Finding their own..

Rediscovering their banished emotions...
In their blissful imagination...

Again you have blown me out of the water with your imagery, I love how you wield your words with so much grace.

Before the night is bare,
Sun showers her last rays...
Moon rains her infant beams....
As heaven overflows....
A state of divine rapture

My favorite lines. They overflow with imagery and elegance. Beautiful work.

Same here.. can't wait to check out more of your works :)
Smashing imagery here Sophy, it's like a gentle rain with thunder bolts meeting in time and space...I guess that's what a 'real illusion' looks like, two souls crashing together in perfect harmony.

Thank you Dilan.Delighted you liked it. :)
A visually descriptive meeting of that alluring, almost mystical time, as the fading embers of the day are transformed into the moonlit shadows of the night!

Wonderfully imaginative and creatively penned!

Thank you Anne :)
it's one way to meet, virtually...

the darkness meeting the light...

but here it feels like the dark suddenly rises and tries to distinguish the light, but the love between the two is too strong..
passionate poem...the love strikes like lightning.
